Frequently Asked Questions

How can I ask Dr. Milewski a question directly?

You can call or email him. Dr. Milewski makes it a point to be accessible to his patients and is always glad to answer any questions you may have about your dental health or treatments. Our goal is to answer all your questions about your dental health – please, don't hesitate to ask!

What makes you different from any other dental practice I could visit?

We believe it's the personal attention and care that you receive in our office as well as the level of professional care that make us different. We believe that we are your partners in keeping your smile healthy for your entire lifetime, and that together, we can prevent major dental problems from occurring. We make sure you understand the why behind your dental treatment, and that you are comfortable with each step from beginning to end.

How does the doctor keep up to date with all the new dental techniques and procedures?

Dr. Milewski keeps himself educated on what's current in the dental field by attending many hours of continuing education courses each year. He attends professional meetings, subscribes to professional journals and prides himself on offering the best of the new dental techniques available. We believe that just because a technique is new, doesn’t mean that it is the best treatment option for you. Dr. Milewski carefully evaluates different technology and procedures to separate the fact from the hype. His selection of techniques, materials, and instrumentation is the result of proven testing from the best research facilities in the world.

How can I safely whiten my teeth?

Whitening your teeth can be one of the simplest, most effective ways to brighten your smile and make you look years younger. We recommend take-home teeth whitening trays because we believe that they are the safest and most effective way to whiten teeth. The procedure is simple: We take a mold of your teeth and create trays that fit exactly against your teeth. Patients wear the trays with the whitening gel. Like all of our treatments, our whitening process is customized to your individual needs. We assess your progress along the way, and adjust your treatment as needed. The end result? You will love your sparkling new smile!

Crowns, veneers, onlays, inlays and partials—where can I learn more about these procedures?

Please come in and talk to us! We will be glad to explain all of these procedures and let you know how we can use them to give you a prettier, healthier smile! Visual models and pictures are available to help you understand treatment.

My gums bleed when I brush. Is this something to be concerned about?

Bleeding gums are often an indicator of periodontal disease. Periodontal disease is the number one reason why adults in the United States lose teeth. If your gums bleed every time you brush or floss your teeth, contact our office for a periodontal evaluation.

What precautions do you take to ensure patient safety?

We do everything possible to safeguard your health and wellbeing. Our office is absolutely up to date with all sterilization techniques, and we carefully follow every recommendation and regulation.

We belong to an independent service that tests our sterilization techniques and equipment every week.

We’re also very careful in safeguarding your privacy and your patient information. You can be absolutely confident that both are safe in our office.

Do you accept my insurance?

Our office is willing to work with any insurance company. This means that although you're ultimately the responsible party with regard to your bill, we're happy to file your insurance claim for you, and will accept payment from your insurance company as well. We're well-versed in the latest coverage trends, and are more than happy to discuss the particulars of your plan with you prior to any treatments you may undergo. We are your advocate in understanding and using the benefits you have earned.

What payment options do you provide?

We accept cash, checks, credit card (Visa, MasterCard, Discover, American Express), and also offer expanded payment options including Care Credit.

We work very hard to keep our fees reasonable so that dentistry can be affordable to everyone. If you're concerned about financing your treatment, contact our Medina dental office to discuss our extended payment options.
