Greetings!
Way back in 1985, when dinosaurs roamed the earth and I started my dental practice in Medina, I wrote a newsletter to my patients every month. In it, I would keep them up to date on what was happening in the field of dentistry, our practice and even my personal life.
Three kids, two expansions and twenty-three years later, I find myself sitting down once again to write my dental newsletter. There is so much information, and misinformation available on dental treatment, that I decided to resurrect my old office newsletter to better keep my patients up to date.
Back then I wrote our newsletter with an electric typewriter and carbon paper. (If you are under thirty years old you may not understand what this entailed, but trust me, it took forever.) Today, with the advent of an incredible change in technology, many of you are receiving this newsletter by email! Amazing, isn't it?
One thing that hasn't changed is how much we enjoy being a part of your lives. I hope you understand what a privilege it is to be your dentist. Watching your families grow up and treating you, your children and yes, your grandchildren is the absolute best part of being a dentist. Conversations with you, both serious and humorous are the high points of my day! I hope you use this newsletter as an extension of those conversations and enjoy reading it as much as I enjoy talking to you!
Keep Flossing!

Email a dental question to Dr. Milewski and be entered into a drawing for movie tickets if your question is chosen! Be sure to indicate the question is for the contest in your email and click here to send your question! Dear Dr. Milewski, When I look at my teeth in the front, the edge of them looks thinner and more translucent and grey than the rest of the tooth. It is just the edge. Why is that? Concerned in Strongsville Dear Concerned: Parts of your teeth can be thinner and as a result, more translucent. The edge of your tooth will appear darker because you are actually looking through the tooth to the darker recesses of your mouth. Translucency can be caused by a number of reasons, including wear, bite problems, or maybe just genetics. There are several solutions to this situation such as bonding or veneers which will make the teeth have a uniform thickness and minimize the translucency. In addition, it would be important to look carefully at your bite to see if that is playing a role in this. Check out our website, www.MedinaFamilyDentistry.com for more information on bonding and veneers, or call our office and we can further discuss translucency in teeth and your individual needs. Thanks for asking a great question! Good luck in the contest! Dr. Milewski
