It’s Time for the Candlelight Walk!

One of our favorite Traditions of our wonderful town of Medina is our Candlelight Walk.  Held on our historical Medina Square, the Candlelight Walk is an Iconic Event in an Iconic Midwestern Town.  The streets are lit with luminaries, the stores all decked out in their Christmas Finery and the Gazebo hosts a glittering Christmas Tree whose sparkling lights seem to Usher in this Season of Goodwill and Peace.

We used to love to take our children up to the square when they were little. We would bundle them up against the cold, and always seemed to park in Dr. Nichols Parking Lot (Thanks Will!). By the time we walked the short block to the square, we had seen many of our neighbors and friends.  My children would clamor for hot chocolate and we would walk around the square, enjoying the tree, and , watching the Live Nativity,  and visiting with many of our friends and patients.Candlelight Walk Medina Ohio

My children are grown, but Mary Kay and I still make a point of going up to the Square for the Candlelight Walk.  It is such a wonderful part of living in this great town. Thank You to Root Candles for sponsoring this event and to Main Street Medina for all their hard work in putting it together.

If you see us up on the square, be sure to stop and say hi.  I’ll be the one in the Ohio State coat with a big cup of hot chocolate!

Happy Holidays!

Dr. Milewski
